Megan at the lake

We found this ski trainer for Megan. She got up on her 2nd try and was thrilled. She skiied for at least 15 minutes. I loved it. In the pic below, you can see that Grammy was left far behind.

Disney World

We had such a wonderful time at Disney World. We celebrated Megan's 5th Birthday at the Princess Lunch in Cinderella's castle. We stayed seven nights, so we had plenty of time to enjoy it and not feel rushed. Grammy and Papa joined us for a few days of the trip, so Megan had to show them the ropes. Lots of pictures and lots of fun memories.

Coffee Creek Riding Stables

Last Friday Addison was invited for an evaluation for horse therapy. She loved the horses from a distance, but not too fond of getting on top of it. Megan LOVED it. She is a girl after her mommy's heart. By the end, Addison warmed up to them and to Ms. Joy (the director). The funny part is that when I arrived at the stables for our appointment time, Megan did not have any shoes on or in the car. Of course I didn't have my cell phone to call anyone to come rescue her. All the volunteers were so sweet to help me by carrying Megan around, but I couldn't keep from laughing when I saw her saddled up barefoot. Her Papa would be proud. (Yes we would ALL go barefoot including him to the grocery store when we were growing up. I'm sure my mom was disgusted.)

BD Party #1 - Tea Party

Aunt Susie had a tea party for Megan to celebrate her 5th Birthday with Grandma Lulu; Anneka; Megan; Addison; Bama (dog); and Me. She loved the High School Musical cheerleader suit. Addie loved playing with Susie's tea set.

Addie's Kid Walk

Addie received her new kid walk. She is suspended on a bicycle seat between the big tires to hopefully learn how to walk while keeping her hands free to play with toys, etc.. She loves being able to push the dolls in the stroller or shopping cart. Also she always wants to play chase or duck duck goose with Megan. We did get a laugh out of her when she commanded "Mama push it!" The point is for her to do it herself. It will take time for her to realize she can be independent.

Flip Flops

Addie was thrilled to wear flip flops for the first time during the hot week before the rainy weather decided to come stay for awhile. She kept telling everyone "look fip fops." Who knew that she had been looking forward to this day?
